The nightclub confrontation between Diddy and Drake was not some random occurrence. According to many behind the scenes, ongoing displays of disrespect led to the infamous scuffle outside of LIV this past weekend.
By now you’ve heard that the disagreement had to do with a song and business not being handled properly. That song is none other than Drake’s Grammy nominated “0-100”. Boi-1da, the producer of the song, gave both Diddy and Drake the song roughly 8 months ago and when Diddy didn’t move on it fast enough, Drake recorded it first and dropped it this past June. Understanding business is business Diddy is said to have given Drake several opportunities over the last few months to discuss the situation in person and after the Toronto rapper flaked on him & dodged his efforts several times, I’m sure Diddy felt completely disrespected. One thing you don’t do is play with a busy person about their time or money. The other thing you don’t do is let a situation fester for a long time. There’s a such thing as a cup running over.
That leads us to early Monday morning at LIV where Diddy and Drake crossed paths for the first time in a while. Diddy confronts Drake who’s sitting inside the car with his window rolled down. Diddy could be heard at least three times telling Drake to step out of the car so they could talk as men but Drake continues to speak to him through the window. Someone else can be heard reiterating “Let them talk like men!” and eventually Drake steps out of the car. Now Drake and Diddy are in a heated discussion and our sources say this is when things got ugly. Drake says something sassy (yes I used the word sassy) under his breath that took Diddy over the edge.
