acura Seat belts are arguably one of the most important safety features in vehicles; when one doesn’t work properly there could be devastating results. That’s why Honda Motor Co. announced the recall of more than 43,000 Acura vehicles this week.

According to Reuters, the recall includes 7,000 model year 2014 Acura RLX sedans and 36,000 model year 2014-2015 Acura MDA crossovers for faulty seat belts.

Officials with the manufacturer says the front seat belts may not release from the retracted position in very low temperatures.

So far Honda has not received any reports of accidents or injuries related to the issue.

Owners of affected vehicles will be notified this month and should take their cars to an authorized dealer as soon as possible.
