As it was foretold, so it has come to pass: McDonald’s is launching its nationwide all-day breakfast menu tomorrow, bringing McGriddles and both biscuits and McMuffin sandwiches to about 16,000 locations.
You might have already seen changes at your location, but Golden Arches spokeswoman confirmed to Consumerist that Wednesday is the “formal all restaurant selling date.”
Before this menu tweak, McDonald’s restaurants had a choice of serving either McMuffin sandwiches or biscuit sandwiches — not both — on the all-day breakfast menu, depending on local preferences.
The McGriddle, a popular option at breakfast, was not part of the all-day deal at first, much to the dismay of some customers, as the idea was to keep things simple for franchise owners. The McGriddle tide started to change in January, when McDonald’s started testing the item at certain locations in Oklahoma. Tests continued in other states in March, providing more fuel to the McGriddles fire.
Here’s a full list of all the items available starting Sept. 21: Egg McMuffin, Sausage McMuffin with Egg, Sausage McMuffin, Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, Sausage Biscuit with Egg, Sausage Biscuit, Bacon, Egg & Cheese McGriddles, Sausage, Egg & Cheese McGriddles, Sausage McGriddles, Hotcakes, Hotcakes and Sausage, Sausage Burrito, Fruit & Maple Oatmeal, Fruit ‘N Yogurt Parfait, and Hashbrowns (varies by restaurant).
